Student Leave Information

Definition

Academic Leave refers to students who are not registered for a specific semester with the Rector’s permission under the following conditions:

  1. Academic leave is only permitted for students who have actively completed 2 (two) semesters in their first year.
  2. Leave is granted on a per-semester basis for a maximum duration of 4 (four) semesters, whether consecutive or non-consecutive.
  3. Students on academic leave are exempt from Tuition Fees (SPP). Upon returning to active status, students must pay an administration fee and may take credits (SKS) based on their last Grade Point Average (IPS).
  4. Procedures for academic leave and reactivation are established by the Rector’s Regulations.
  5. Students who take leave without permission are required to pay the fixed Tuition Fee (SPP Tetap) for the period of inactivity upon their return and are limited to taking only 12 (twelve) credits (SKS).

Academic Leave Procedure

Students planning to take academic leave must apply through the UIIGateway portal:

  1. Login to your UIIGateway account.
  2. Navigate to UIILayanan >> Cuti Akademik menu
  3. Fill in the required data in the Academic Leave menu.
  4. Settle the payment (Invoice numbers can be found under the UIITagihan menu)
  5. Await verification from University leadership
  6. Monitor your status until it changes to “Leave” in the UIIAkademik system.

REACTIVATION OF STATUS

Student status will automatically return to ‘Active’ once the academic leave period expires. If a student wishes to cancel their academic leave request, they may do so via the UIIGateway portal under the ‘UII Layanan’ menu.
